Private Tour Archaeological Dig + Wine tour, Lunch in an Ancient Cistern 

Come tour a private villa where current students of the University of Tokyo are uncovereing statues and frescos, wine tunnels and the clay pots still lodged in the ground for wine making 2000 years ago. This achaeological dig, closed to the public will open only for our group followed by an optional visit to the Cathedral of Madonna dell'Arco and a wine tour at the base of Monte Somma, father of Vesuvius. We will taste a variety of local white and red wines including Lacryma Christi, elegant and comples white, Caprettone and Catalanesca charateristic of this fertile region and piedirosso. Our wine tasting will be paired with a variety of local specialties served on the remails of an ancient Roman cistern. Please wear comfortable shoes and clothing so you can fully enjoy the tours!
