Under the Tuscan Sun Wine Getaway
Come visit my favorite town in Tuscany where I participated in weekly wine events and taught English at a local elementary school druing 2013-2014. Famous for Francis Mayes, Under the Tuscan Sun, this walled Etruscan town is an important foodie town and cultural center rich in art, history and music. The architecture and sweeping views of the Tuscan countryside are unrivaled.
We will stay in the center, enjoying morning breakfast buffets on the indoor-outdoor terrace. Our accomodation is directly connected to the main sttreet through town and the tree-sheltered, panaramic park with a walking path and playground.
Our activities include wine tasting, exceptional cuisine, an art walk, visiting local galleries and artisan jewelers and a option to walk to Bramasole (the home of Francis Mayes), Chiesa Santa Margherita or Le Celle, a working monastery where St Francis of Assisi went to spend his final days
Attention wine collectors, foodies and travelers interested in seeing what is of the beaten path!
These regional tours may be scheduled for small groups and adjusted to fit your needs and desires. These are great opportunities to experiences the best of Italy off the beaten path. Emphasis it given to local food and wine and there are always opportunities to be active and meet locals.
