Abruzzo Wine Getaway + Truffle Hunting
Come explore the exquisite emerald coast and rolling hills of one of Italy's least discovered regions! The hilltops are dotted with medieval and Renaissance towns surrounded by national parks, vineyards, lakes and wheat fields. Described as "a foodie's heaven," Abruzzo boasts the best of hearty meat and delicate seafood, local pasta, saffron, red garlic and TRUFFLES!
We will sleep on the sea, close enough to hear the waves at night and take a dip at one of the private beaches along the trail at our hideaway resort. Saturday will be a full day of adventure, hunting truffles, cooking, playing with the animals, creating art and non-stop eating and drinking.
Attention wine collectors, foodies and travelers interested in seeing what is of the beaten path!
These regional tours may be scheduled for small groups and adjusted to fit your needs and desires. These are great opportunities to experiences the best of Italy off the beaten path. Emphasis it given to local food and wine and there are always opportunities to be active and meet locals.
Please note that the schedule, duration, activities and pricing are flexible depending on what your group would like to experience. Child rates are also available upon request. Please give me enough advance notice to secure your requested dates with our travel partners.

Friday:
Check-in to accomodation at Bagni Vittoria. You may request a dinner recommendation in town or have dinner prepared onsite. There is a covered bar area as well as picnic tables overlooking the sea.
Saturday:
8-9:30am: Breakfast
10am: Depart for an unforgetable day in the mountains
10:30am: Welcome aperitivo (coffee, liquor, treats) and tour of the farm and animals
11:30am: Truffle hunting
12:30pm: Hands on cooking experience with the TRUFFLE, followed by a four course lunch, wine, coffee, after dinner drinks included
3:30pm: Art demonstration and special take home interactive art project
4:30pm depart
Freetime to enjoy the seaside resort, walk along the sea or go into town
7:30pm Sunset aperitivo
Sunday:
8-9:30am: Breakfast
**Recommended visits en route home:
Vasto: an unspoilt and unpretentious town overlooking long sandy beaches
Trabocchi: old wooden fishing piers where traditional fishermen still let their nets down to sea, many have restaurants ideal for lunching with a view
Fontefico Purovino: visit two brothers who operate an organic winery in the beautiful nearby countryside
Casual clothing, comfortable shoes for trufflle hunting, plan to get dirty. Layers to stay warm or cool off depending on weather. Swimwear if you want to enjoy the beaches at our accomodation.
